Hello Dear Friends, Cultural Creatives & Seekers Everywhere,
Happy Birthday … Mother Nature’s Least Favorite Song
The world’s population just reached 8 billion people. Is this a time to celebrate? While the Earth could support a population of over 10 billion citizens, human civilization has altered the environment so much that we are facing the planet’s Sixth Mass Extinction Event.
As usual, first the BAD NEWS, followed with a sigh of relief by the GOOD NEWS.
Five times in the history of this planet, life was thriving, and cataclysmic events such as massive earthquakes and volcanoes, movement of tectonic plates, and even a collision with a massive comet, wiped-out up to 90% of life. Afterwards, evolution would repopulate the world with old and new species of plants and animals. Sixty-six million years ago, a comet hitting near the Yucatan precipitated the 5th Mass Extinction, which led to the extinction of the dinosaurs and the evolution of humans.
Today’s Mass Extinction Event is due to the behavior of human civilization. Collectively, we have undermined the environment, the foundation from which we have come. Human-derived pollution of the atmosphere, the land, and the oceans is causing the collapse of the web of life in a wave of extinction … that will, of course, include humanity. Human behavior has undermined the web of life to support the currently insatiable appetite of human culture’s need for food and goods. We have exhausted Nature’s resources and continue to trample her Garden, from which we evolved.
The situation is made more problematic by the fact that we are simultaneously experiencing “climate change,” a cyclic phenomenon that has been profoundly exacerbated by human generated pollution. A result of which has created a rapid melting of the polar ice caps. The public attention on the rising seas has focused on the flooding of coastal cities. The bigger problem not being addressed is that climate change undermines agriculture, since alterations in weather patterns can no longer be predicted. The consequence: Not enough food for the expanding population. That problem, already here, is expressed in the astronomical increase in food prices as demand exceeds supplies.
The chart below simply illustrates the conundrum we face. The demands on Mother Nature to support the lifestyle of different cultures far exceeds the planet’s available resources. For example, if the world lived like the people of Australia and the USA, it would take 5 planet Earths to provide the resources to support the population. The truth at the bottom of the chart reveals that humanity’s collective demands currently require more than one Earth to survive. Simple conclusion: Current civilization is unsustainable. To survive, humans must collectively revise the way we live on this planet.
The GOOD NEWS is that science is revealing new “truths” that will profoundly change the way we live on Earth.
For example, we have undermined the harmony of Nature by destroying her Garden to make more “food” gardens to support our needs, or at least our “beliefs” about our needs. The rain forests are being cut down to make more hamburgers without honoring the recognition that rain forests are vital in cleansing the Earth’s atmosphere and charging it with oxygen, required for our survival.
Guess what? New insights suggest that humans should have a lifespan of at least 150 years. A major contributor to shortening life is … we eat way too much food. When we digest food, we are “burning” fuel to get energy. Burning fuel produces toxic by-products, that’s why, for example, the exhaust from a car can kill you.
When food is digested in the body, a toxic by-product are “free-radicals,” electrically charged particles that act like “bullets” that can kill cells. The more one eats, the more free-radicals are terrorizing the body’s cells.
In experiments with animals, calorie restriction can even double an individual’s lifespan. Similar results from human studies also demonstrate life expansion as a consequences of calorie restriction. It is only a cultural program, a habit acquired before age seven, that we should be eating 3 meals a day. The more recent modification to that program is the concept of a more demanding, and self-destructive need to “supersize” our meals. In addition, current science also recognizes the powerful health benefits from intermittent fasting, with 14 to 16 hours of fasting between meals.
An amazing new insight to the powers of the human body was first introduced by a study in the destroyed reactors at Chernobyl.1 Five years after the explosion, robot cameras sent into the reactor showed the growth of black fungus (Cryptococcus neoformans), the common fungus found on shower curtains and walls around bathtubs and showers. Studies then showed that the black in their cells were crystals of melanin, the same pigment in human skin and brain.
The astonishing results demonstrated that these cells were using melanin to convert radioactive energy to nourish their cells. Since then, new studies have shown that melanin functions in the same manner that chloroplasts in plants use light photons to generate biological energy and food. 2, 3 Both melanin and chloroplasts use ambient energy to break water down into oxygen and hydrogen a process used in creating and maintaining organic life. Results recognize that up to 90% of the energy needs of the human body can be created by melanin interacting with various forms of energy including radioactivity, electromagnetic fields, and visible light.
When the public truly learns the value of food restriction, intermittent fasting, and energy-producing melanin in the enhancement of health and life extension, humans will be able to significantly down-size “our” gardens and begin to take care of Mother Nature’s Garden, life just as the indigenous people lived. Recognize how a change in our food habits will help civilization not only survive into the future … we will truly thrive into the future.
Wishing YOU Health, Peace, and Happiness,

Bruce’s Spotlight
Years of lecturing around this beautiful planet have provided me an opportunity to encounter wonderful Cultural Creatives that are helping to bring harmony into the world. Each month, I want to honor these cultural creatives by sharing with you the gifts they have shared with me.
This month, I’d like to introduce you to the organization, World Wide Musicians United, a qualified 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization registered in the United States, with an ever-growing network of partners and supporters around the globe. By empowering community-minded musicians to maximize their potential and impact, WWMU is creating a virtuous circle of change through music. From school children discovering the joy of music for the first time, to hospice patients being comforted in their final moments, WWMU is there to initiate chain reactions of transformation and healing. You can learn more about this powerful work here, and become part of the virtuous circle by making a donation if you’re able.
Thank you for uplifting artists and bringing more Harmony into the world, WWMU!
