Dear Friends,
I have the honor and privilege of writing to you today, not just on behalf of myself, but in the spirit of my uncle, Dr. Bruce Lipton—whose work continues to inspire healing, awareness, and connection around the world.
We find ourselves in a time where division is easy—maybe even automatic. We’re encouraged to pick sides, point fingers, and identify with what separates us. But in the deeper current of life, there is a growing awareness that what truly matters is not what pulls us apart, but what brings us together.
Balance may not beas available to us as is conflict. Sure, conflict is important in life as it can be a very powerful motivator inspiring change. However, balance is where the real power lies and is needed more than ever.
Language, quietly, but profoundly, divides us. At 37, I find learning new languages is fun but is also a difficult challenge. As Uncle Bruce often explains, between the ages of zero and seven, the child’s subconscious mind, operating in a state of hypnosis, rapidly downloads awareness and information. During this period, like a sponge, we effortlessly absorb language, not just the words, but also behaviors, beliefs, and identities. This is why introducing children to multiple languages early on is so beneficial for their future
Of all the learned experiences, music is profoundly important because it is the universal language. You don’t have to understand the lyrics to feel the beat. You don’t need translation to be moved by a melody. The rhythm of music bypasses the intellectual walls we’ve built between one another and goes straight to the heart.
Even the simplest forms of music, like a single drumbeat, can carry the wisdom of connection. In many Indigenous traditions, the drum is sacred. It represents the heartbeat of Nature, a pulse we all share, no matter where we’re from, what language we speak, or what beliefs we hold.
When we listen to the sound of the sacred drum, we can begin to synchronize our movements with something much deeper than opinion or ideology. We reconnect with the world, and with each other. Even in times where war drums seem to be beating louder and louder, we still have the power to tune into a different rhythm, Nature is the real drum, the shared drumbeat playing within each of us.
To close, I’d like to echo the words of the Jackson 5 in their timeless song “Can You Feel It.” These lyrics aren’t just catchy; they’re a transmission of truth:
“If you look around / The whole world is coming together now.”
“Feel it in the air / The wind is taking it everywhere.”
“Now tell me…, can you feel it?”
The solution to civilization’s problems isn’t complicated. It’s seeking unity, a state that begins with finding inner balance. What we’re seeking is to simply…feel again. Sometimes thinking our way through every problem, can be a distraction from the rhythms of Nature. When we allow ourselves to express feelings, we recognize we’re not alone. When we come together, it becomes clear as day that we’re part of something larger…Humanity.
So, thank you! Thank you for your time, your presence, and your willingness to feel what’s true — even though it may be subtle. May the drumbeat of unity guide us forward.
With love and rhythm,
Alex Lipton

Bruce’s Spotlight
Years of lecturing around this beautiful planet have provided me an opportunity to encounter wonderful Cultural Creatives that are helping to bring harmony into the world. Each month, I want to honor these cultural creatives by sharing with you the gifts they have shared with me.

This month I’d like to introduce you Freja Eriksen, the Singing Doctor and her new music video called BREATHE — a voice-only composition created through live vocal looping, designed to support nervous system regulation, emotional clarity, and presence. It is backed by research — but also by a deep desire to help people reconnect with their inner healing capacity. This song, and the kind of breathing it guides you in, has been shown to reduce stress hormones, improve heart-rate variability, and increase focus, calm and a sense of connection.
Thank you for breathing and singing harmony into this world, Freja!
