Hello Dear Friends, Cultural Creatives, and Emerging Imaginal Cells,
Tis the season to be JOYFUL! For the global news reveals a growing and positive change in human consciousness.
Yes, there’s been a dearth of Newsletters as of late, but there is no dearth of news. The following is a brief (at least from a man with a few million words) review of some interesting timely topics.
Thankfully, a massive, but fundamentally silent movement supporting our evolution is actively underway. In Paris, the recent global commitment to acknowledge and proactively respond to climate change has been endorsed by over 200 countries. Global communication and cooperation are becoming the rule of the day. Unfortunately, the main opposition to this planetary referendum comes from conservative forces in the US who are primarily concerned with the belief that future climate regulations may interfere with corporate financial interests.
Environmentally destructive industries, such as the fracking interests, corporations undermining the environment by extracting oil from shale deposits in Canada, petroleum deep drilling polluting the oceans and our National Parks, industrial “farming” depleting fish in the world’s oceans, and manufacturers of GMO “Franken-foods” are among other environmentally unsound practices trying to sway the public’s awareness in support of their greed. These industries commit massive funds to create deceptive advertising practices in which they claim climate change is not real and that their mineral extraction and farming procedures are completely environmentally sound. Fortunately, the public, especially the younger generations (e.g., the Millennials), are becoming wise to their ways and are no longer buying into their fabricated stories.
A wave of liberal Earth and people-friendly politics is changing the world. In Britain and Australia, the public has been steadily moving to the liberal perception of sharing love and the planet’s resources. In England, with 200 to1 odds against him, Jeremy Corbyn won leadership of the left-leaning Labour Party. In his campaign, he vowed, “We don’t have to be unequal. It does not have to be unfair, poverty isn’t inevitable. Things can, and they will change.” Canada also joined the ranks of the progressive countries by electing Justin Trudeau as Prime Minister, who was recently photographed welcoming Syrian refugees into his country. Even Saudi Arabia has evolved, finally giving women the right to vote … and they did, electing the first 17 women into public office.
I am truly buoyed up by the public’s outpouring of love and friendship as an antidote to the rise of current fear mongering, Islamaphobic, gun-toting corporate-friendly politicians. There IS Light at the end of this tunnel!
In the February 2014 Newsletter, I wrote about the most amazing evolution in the Mideast, where Tunisia, the site of origin of the Arab Spring, drafted the world’s most humanitarian constitution. Well, guess what – The efforts of the Tunisian parliament’s coalition has just won the Nobel Peace Prize for their significant contribution to global democracy. In echoing my words, the New York Times wrote, “The new Tunisian Constitution represents a profound step forward in the advancement of human evolution. With its strong commitment to universal human values, it truly represents a great victory for human rights. Tunisia’s vision provides an example for people deprived of democracy around the world.” Congratulations are indeed in order for this country’s radical evolution.
Those that have been following the Biology of Belief story have known that I have been rallying against the excesses of the Pharmaceutical industry for years. The “real” story of the Pharmaceutical industry interests has finally been revealed in the media. While their public persona has been touted to be a “friend to humanity,” and to offer a “compassionate contribution to the sick,” the truth is profoundly different. J. Michael Pearson, current CEO of Valeant Pharmaceuticals recently acknowledged, “We’re in the business of shareholder profit, not helping the sick.” He added, “If products are sort of mispriced and there’s an opportunity, we will act appropriately in terms of doing what I assume our shareholders would like us to do.”
These comments followed the fact that pharmaceutical giants like Valeant and Pfizer are buying up rights to once-cheap off-patent drugs and hiking their prices many times over, with a mark-up from 66% to over 2000% original costs. In 2014, global pharmaceutical company Mallinckrodt acquired Questcor Pharmaceuticals, the maker of Synacthen Depot, a drug critical to the treatment of a rare form of epilepsy in infants. The price of this drug prescribed to infants in Canada has jumped by 2,000 per cent practically overnight, upsetting specialists and parents. The price went from $35 per vial to $801 per vial, raising the six-week treatment price from $750 to $17,000.
Canadian pediatric neurologist Dr. Carter Snead isn’t buying it, “Questcor has done absolutely nothing to justify this huge price increase, there has been no investment in research and no investment in drug development. This is completely ugly pricing behavior.” Why is this “good” news? Because the rising costs of medications may be the leverage needed for people to let go of the old view of healing with drugs and take on more responsibility in their life choices. This is especially important in major illnesses such as heart disease (>90% due to lifestyle), diabetes Type II (~100% lifestyle), cancer (over 70% due to lifestyle), since these issues can be healed without the use of pharmaceutical intervention.
OK, on the surface, not all of the news is “good” news. The Paris attacks and the daily mass shootings in the US are “bad” news. However, in the context of the evolution of human civilization, these tragedies are contributing to the uniting of our global community. Around the world people are saying, “Enough is enough!” Indeed, there is a positive change supporting the future of our civilization. While we are on the path of creating a new civilization, we are not there yet. I read the following poem by the late Pete Seeger, an American folk music hero and environmental activist:
Song of the World’s Last Whale
Pete Seeger © 1970
I heard the song
Of the world’s last whale
As I rocked in the moonlight
And reefed the sail,
It’ll happen to you
Also without fail,
If it happens to me
Sang the world’s last whale.
If you are not familiar with Pete Seeger, I highly recommend that you see the following video: Pete Seeger: The Power of Song (2007). Condemned as a “communist” for his stand on taking care of the environment and his support for children and workers in 1950, he was blacklisted and prevented from appearing in public. He impacted the public with his amazing anthology of music which included timeless classics like, “Where Have All The Flowers Gone,” If I Had A Hammer” and “Turn, Turn, Turn.”
In support of planetary evolution, Margaret and I have been on the road most of the summer and fall. Especially valuable was a course at Schumacher College in England team-taught with Bharat Mitra and Bhavani Lev of Organic India. The program emphasized the nature of consciousness and the new biology in promoting our evolving civilization. While there, I met Stephan Harding, Head of Holistic Science at Schumacher College and author of Animate Earth. I was so completely enthralled by his lecture style, that we are planning to co-present a course at Schumacher next October.
And lastly, below the closing, I am attaching a poem written by Rick Levine, a dear friend we met over twenty years ago. Rick, an esoteric astrologer, meaning he is deeply involved in the historic and scientific foundation of astrology, is the author of Star IQ (Link to site) a daily reading offered by Google, Yahoo and YouTube. After a weekend of exchanging ideas and leading edge science, Rick wrote Radios, a beautiful, informative poem integrating The Biology of Belief with Astrology
In closing, the Mountain of Love family wishes you and all, a very happy, healthy and harmonious Holiday Season!

Radios
Planets talk;
their cosmic discourse
determines the fate
of vulnerable babes;
Each armed with a few trillion tiny cellular receptors
Each cell with its calibrated micro-antennae
tuned into the emptiness
of deep space
and infinite time.
Planets talk;
their discordant orbital harmonies
shout with power of Wagner,
resonate with intensity of Stravinsky,
chant with the mystery of Grieg,
orchestrate with the majesty of Tchaikovsky,
vibrate with the magic of chanting Gyuto monks.
Planets talk;
their spherical vibrations
pulsate ultra-low frequencies of life;
electromagnetic waves
broadcast unique moments
of patterned universality,
while mysterious, invisible rays
from omnipresent space and time
make magic here on Earth.
Meanwhile, with naive determination
I carefully disassemble my radio
looking for the music inside;
Frustration builds
for I find only pieces of mechanical things.
I cannot find even one tiny shred of evidence
of the wondrous symphony
that moments before
came from within this plastic shell.
Printed circuits of resistors and capacitors,
semiconductors, and wires:
these magical artifacts offer no clues;
This electro-mechanical universe
is not a map that points the way
to the magic of song.
Elsewhere, with the very same determination
scientists dissect animals
looking for the source of life,
and take apart the human mind
searching for the phantom captain,
while the obvious truth
is staring us in the face:
Life is everywhere
and consciousness does not
originate within the brain.
Plants and animals are bioradios
optimized to receive the broadcasts of life;
our nervous systems
are energy transformers;
our electro-chemical brains
are organic televisions,
each playing its own variation
of the inter-planetary music of the spheres,
each playing its unique pattern
of cosmic consciousness.
When the radio breaks
the broadcast station
does not go off the air.
