As The Biology of Belief describes, that in the first six years of a child’s, the child’s brain is operating at low EEG frequencies. These low frequency brain activities are associated with a state we call “hypnosis.” The reason is that, before a child can engage its brain in consciousness activities (associated with alpha and beta EEG frequencies), it must acquire “data” about life. So the first 6 years of life the child’s brain, like a computer, is downloading life experiences as data. The learned experiences are acquired through all sensory systems, which include stimuli from vision, smells, sounds, and touch for example.
TV and internet are sources of “information” for a child and are automatically downloaded into their subconscious minds. The data is later used by the child’s conscious mind (after 6 years of age) to create the rest of their lives. So TV and internet information is being directly programmed into the child’s before age 6. Programming still continues after age 6, BUT in later years the child’s conscious mind can be used to “filter” and “modify” the programming. So past experiences can shape future learning.
Also, TV screens show pictures through screen images that are flashed on and off at 20 or more “frames” per second. The flashing of a screen image at that frequency also affects brain functions and cognition. “Strobing” of TV pictures at that frame rate have a big impact on brain function. Parents must be aware of this TV “programming” because it has a powerful influence on the fate of the child.
