Dr. Bruce Lipton discovered the importance of something like energy psychology when working in the field of epigenetics. Epigenetics argues that the choices we make in our lives actually influences our genes and our cells more than our DNA. In his best-selling book, the Biology of Belief, Dr. Lipton looks at epigenetics and how genes are controlled by signals that don’t come from the cell, but come from outside of it. This is no quick idea he came up with, but one that is grounded in his decades of experience as a cell biologist, as well as with quantum physics and his deep understanding of the processing system of cells.
The thing is, the cell membrane, which is the outer layer of the cell, actually looks a lot like a computer chip, this makes it the brain of the cell. While doing his research into the concept of epigenetics while at the Stanford University School of Medicine from 1987 to 1992, he found that the environment outside the membrane operated through the membrane, and it controlled the behaviour of the cell, turning cells on and off.
Energy psychology works on this concept.
By influencing the outside environment, you can actually influence your own genetics. This means you can greatly improve the mind and body connection, and you can greatly improve your own life and your own happiness. Energy psychology, for obvious reasons, is beginning to become more and more popular as people see its huge benefits to their lives.
